6 tips and tricks to uncomplicate adulting

Hello –

Nothing fancy, I am sharing – 6 tips and tricks to uncomplicate adulting.

Early mornings, early nights. Easy friendships, small fights.

Sharing lunchboxes, and lots of laughter. Secret crushes and chitter chatter.

Daily homework, quizzes, and assignments. Daily playground, park, and pavements.

Birthday was the greatest day! Gifts, food, and dancing all day!

Now, what we have is stressful day and sleepless nights. Difficult friendships, and big fights.

Lunchboxes are no longer in fashion. Laughing has become a stand-up passion.

Finding love is hard these days. And there is so little to say..

Work is life but work made you bored. You miss the backyard and old roads.

Birthdays are boring and spent alone, Food is gone.. dieting is the new trend in town..

You miss childhood, I know. The sun shine, the birds, and the snow.

You will deny, but you know all this is true. Don’t shy away, I will give you 6 clues:

First, find joy in your heart. Live lighter and forget your mistakes and past.

Second, focus first on your self. More beautiful, is there is anything else?

Third, embrace the love around. Live simple, stay at ground.

Fourth, build yourself strong. Your skills will stay lifelong.

Fifth, treasure your parents, and siblings and cousins. True friends will be your oxygen.

Sixth is the golden rule, travel a LOT , dance, books, and music are for the soul.

These simple 6 rules are just clues. Paint your life with red, yellow, orange, green, and blue.

I know you miss your childhood a lot. But you can create new memories, write your own life’s plot.

Talk less, and listen more. De-clutter your mind and open new doors!

This is your life and you are the king.  Choose carefully the best things!

You are beautiful, you are the sun.. Just shine, be brave, and have fun!

How I am helping my friend make a successful resume day #1

One of my juniors from college called me today to ask about how he should make his resume. Abhishek is two years younger to me. We are from the same school. Now he is my college. He is a bright student, but very lazy. He is in his third year of bachelors in engineering and it’s time he should be prepared with his CV or resume for applying for the summer internships.  However he has no idea about it.

I said, don’t worry, I’ll help you. He asked if I could show him my resume so he could make it accordingly. I said, “No, first you have to give it a try yourself. However I will tell you the basic things you need to keep in mind. Your resume will be in sections as follows:

  1. Always start with your name and contact details
  2. Then educational qualifications including your school, high school and college in a chronological order, that means the most recent qualification comes first
  3. Now comes the internships, mention each with your role, company’s name, time period, followed by responsibilities and skills acquired
  4. Now the section for academic projects and achievements
  5. This will follow your extra curricular activities and achievements
  6. Lastly include your hobbies and interests

Abhishek, don’t forget to add proper formatting to your resume. For the start, you could take the sample resume format Microsoft Word offers or create your own. It should go in an order and proper format”

He said it was a lot. So I gave him a day to come up with something. Then we could move on.

I am keeping in mind that his resume should be ready in a week. I am not revealing all the details and secrets to him at once because I want him to actually work on this and understand how resume building is an art, neither a cakewalk nor a mountain climb.

So this a 7 day challenge for us. I will share the progress each day with you guys.  Lets see how it goes, it better not be a boring task. He doesn’t know about this blog post, haha!

If you have anything in mind, any suggestions, you can share. Thank you for reading.

Let’s talk #1

I attended a conference today on public speaking by Mr. P, I was so motivated by it that I came to a conclusion. Have a read.

What do you want to become? What is your dream? How do you see yourself 5 years down the line?
Big questions. Aren’t these? Yes absolutely!

So let’s talk. Let’s talk about dreams, aspirations, hopes.
These are complicated and yet fascinating questions. But have you really thought about it ever?
What if one doesn’t know what’s his or her dream? Is his life finished?

No. If one doesn’t where to go, you’ll eventually reach the place you want to be. Because things will move in right order themselves. But how? There’s a simple answer. Because you know what not to do. Thus you won’t waste time unnecessarily. All you need is to dream big, continuously thrive for change and creativity in anything and everything you do. Keeping up the passion towards work and life and maintaining balance between the two is important.

Just trust the process.
Once you board the right bus at the right time and sit in  the right seats you’ll end up at the right destination. It’s not when you’ll choose but not choose the wrong ones and be left with the right one.

So don’t choose but reject the wrong ones. Someone is always there to help you, and that’s you yourself. Got it? In this process, one day you’ll end up where you are meant to be.

Do share the post if you liked it. Follow blog to keep in touch. Thank you Mr. P. 🙂
