Don’t fall in love with your friends

It’s so difficult to not to fall in love with your friends.

I used to think friendships become stronger over years. That the bond gets stronger one year at a time. But it’s not like that. It just happens. It might even happen on your first waffle together or just a walk.
I would say, be with people who invest in you, invest in your happiness. Sometimes being soulmates doesn’t mean that you get to marry each other, have babies and live a life together. There’s more to soulmates, even friends can be soulmates. When you know that you’ll be there for each other, no matter what. What else do you need.

There’s nothing sweeter in this world than your friends calling your name, your friends who are proud to have you. And these are the best kind of people. When you’re having a bad day, just hangout with them, share a thought and feel loved and just okay.

Truth is, so many people are in love and are not together and so many people are not in love and together. But, friendships sort all. It’s the parachute which helps you fall smoothly in love with your friends.

Life is like climbing. And in life there are peaks and valleys. Sometimes you’re at top and sometimes you get stuck in the valley. Love is a hope, a feeling that there’s no valley. Love can over power anything and can make you do unbelievable things.

Love is like wings of happiness, flying you through mountains of hope.

And when you’re in love with your friends, it’s like the ocean in a summer day, calm and relaxing, that’s how I feel. All the beautiful memories they add up to.

So, go grab a cup of coffee in this chilly weather with them because it’s okay to fall in love with your best friends.

India’s trouble mantra: It’s complacency with mediocrity

A silly young cricket, accustomed to sing
Through the warm, sunny months of gay summer and spring,
Began to complain when he found that, at home,
His cupboard was empty, and winter had come.

Corruption. Pollution. Unemployment. Illiteracy. Women Empowerment.
No. The biggest trouble India’s facing is the deep rooted mediocrity among her people.

People have a chalta h attitude, which means let it be, whatever’s happening, let it happen.
We are a country with a glorious past. Our battle for freedom proves the inherent never giving up attitude with our souls.

We were like ants:
1. Not intimidated by the sheer size of the objects that they need to carry
2. Value Teamwork, they help each other making it possible for them to achieve their goals
3. Organized in how they carry out their tasks that they are able to accomplish it no matter how big the task is
4. Having your reserves-up to cope with unforeseen things

But things have changed.

Non-performing citizens, our governance system is paralyzed. People have lost the required motivation to carry forward the legacy of our glorious past.  As this culture of mediocrity has perpetuated meticulously by the socio-political-cultural systems, it has deeply percolated into the psyche of an average Indian. Not only that, we all configure the major trouble is the missing elements of “excellence and self- discipline/regulation” in socio-cultural spheres of India. The common man has become the symbol of bad self- discipline and non-performance.

Today’s youth and it’s false ambitions, the verbal fluency of our intellectuals, and the fickle-mindedness of our politicians- all this leave little but a gnawing incompleteness in the frequency of the oscillation of our nation. The mindless demonstrations by youth and it’s representatives and the personal opinion of the common man: all are critical of the present malfunctioning system of governance and shout for collective desire for change.

In the bleached atmosphere of the new century, it is hard to tear apart the mediocrity from the fabric of our nation, the equation hardly matters. What matters is that it’s people are believers, and they expect life to change. Something good is bound to rise from ashes. Far away in the rumbling foundation, a seed of hope is silently spreading it’s roots and the sirens will soon sing the melody of a coming transformation.

In a small town, a village teacher is giving lessons to the future torch bearers of our nation, the little hope, though faint, gives hope for a remake. The fruit of the tamped earth must rise and bring back the zeal to get over with our complacency with mediocrity.

Is there a geek in you?

Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—
I took the one less traveled by!
~The Road Not Taken, Robert Frost
This is perhaps one of the favorite quote of mine. I just felt like sharing. So coming to the topic, is there any geek in you?
Wait do you know exactly who is a geek like? Let me open the dictionary of geeks and extrapolate!

geek1
ɡiːk/
informal
noun

  1. 1.
an unfashionable or socially inept person.
verb

  1. 1.

engage in or discuss computer-related tasks obsessively or with great attention to technical detail.

Now Google says this. Not all exciting! If someone actually a geek would also disagree. :/
Historically, a geek was a circus person in the sideshow who performed some bizarre feat.

    <But the good news is>

    Lately I’ve been in and around geeks! {Writing this adds a smile on my face :P}
Geeks are genuine individuals who have an open heart for learning and they are just glued to whatever they’re passionate about! They are not procrastinators or those who waste their time in thinking and not doing!

I would say, geek is someone who is totally passionate about technology and how it comes alive.
A geek will not only know about all the cool tech-stuff but dig in more. I mean a geeky guy will not only play games but also create one!

So geeks are the ones who are analytical and good at understanding stuff, and that too related to technology, which doesn’t click in an ordinary’s mind. So does this mean geeks are extraordinary?
That’s the word extra, just this word makes you different than a geek!

There’s a geek in each one of us. Rule of thumb. Like I always say, there’s a poet in each one of us, a geek is also hidden. Came across these little kids doing some cool geeky stuff, I was bewildered, how do they do it!?
Have  a look!  This kids at Camp-K12 are doing wonders! They are learning technology — the closest thing to magic in 21st century! Agree?

Kids can learn to code. kids can learn to make android games. Kids can do nearly professional graphic designing!
Let me take you to the Facebook link. Here.

Are you surprised? Even I was! I wish I was in 2nd standard at present and had a chance to do these cool things at Camp-K12. Don’t you feel like your childhood missed something, which these kids lucky enough to have.

I wanna grow up once again! You?

I’m happy for these kids. There’s a platform to nurture their limitless creativity. Let us too indulge in limitless creativity.
    Think aloud! Think Limitless!

What’s your pick on this? Let me know.
And do encourage these kids! they deserve applause!
